Abstract
Studies were made to detect lily symptomless virus (LSV), cucumber mosaic virus (CMV) and tulip breaking virus (TBV) in lily plants by tissue blotting method. Viruses (LSV, CMV and TBV) were distributed throughout the tissues of infected plants. The infection degree of organs and tissues was highest in stems, followed by leaves, bulbs, and bubils. In a bulb, the infection degree was highest in the outer scales of the bulb, followed by the middle, and the inner scales. In a single bulb scale, virus concentrations were highest in the middle and lower in the bottom and top parts. In the leaves, the concentrations of virus were highest in the middle and lower in the top and bottom parts. Viral concentrations according to the growth stage were uneven in all organs and tissues. Virus particles moved together with plant growth from bulbs up to the leaves through stems as time passed.
